We understand that the process of inspecting a property can be overwhelming, which is why we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help you understand the importance of snag lists and how our services can benefit you.
Read on to find answers to some of the most commonly asked questions we recieve.
What is a Snag List?
A snag list is a checklist of defects or issues that need to be fixed in a property, created by an inspector after a thorough inspection. It includes items such as unfinished work, poor quality finishes, and defective materials. It helps the property owner identify and address problems to ensure their property is safe, functional, and up to standard.
Do I need to hire someone to do my snag list?
We would never tell anyone that they have to hire a professional snagging company to survey their home, however, we would highly recommend it. In our previous roles as site engineers, finishing foremen and project managers, we have seen first hand how many defects can be missed by unqualified and/or inexperienced individuals carrying out a snag list survey and the additional costs that can be incurred in trying to fix these defects after the owners have moved into their home.
Can I be present for the inspection?
Homeowners are welcome to attend the inspection.
When will I receive my report?
You will receive your report within 24 hours of completion of the survey.
Can you offer a follow up inspection?
Yes, follow up inspections are available for €120 at the homeowners request, to ensure that all defects that we noted have been fixed.
When is payment due?
Payment is due anytime before the survey is carried out.
How do I get a group discount?
If surveys on three or more homes, in the same development, are arranged for the same day, then there will be a discount for each homeowner. We would encourage people to get in touch with their neighbours to ask if any of them need a snag list carried out, to avail of this discount.
